Position Description:
Cardiocom, Medtronic's leading telehealth company has an exciting opening for a Principal Software Engineer located in Chanhassen, MN. This position is responsible for software development, leading project teams and project management.
Position
Responsibilities:
o Developing all aspects of n-tier ASP.NET enterprise-level software solutions using Microsoft technologies
o Designing & developing SQL Server based relational database architecture
o Developing interfaces between business applications
o Creating and maintaining desktop applications and windows services
o Building interactive client reports
o Writing technical and support documentation
o Contributing to the success of a rapidly growing, cutting edge software framework
o Lead assigned project teams
Basic
Qualifications:
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
o Bachelor Degree: Computer Science or other related field
YEARS OF
Experience:
o 6
years ASP.NET, C#, .NET Framework, programming / development experience
o 6
years experience building tables, views, stored procedures in SQL Server 2000-2008 and ADO.NET
o 6
years experience with web technologies such as XML, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX and Web Services
Desired/Preferred
Qualifications:
DESIRED/PREFERRED
Qualifications:
o Strong experience with Visual Studio and Visual Source Safe
o Excellent knowledge of OO design principles
o Ability to use Agile Development principles to release quality product on time
o Ability to multi-task and prioritize while dealing with multiple projects
o Ability to lead a project team or work independently.
o Working knowledge of Active Reports a plus
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
o Self-motivated, self-directed individual who takes pride in their work product
