This is a fast paced work environment that requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, sense of urgency, superior multi-tasking skills, and data entry skills. As a Customer Service Permit Agent you will also be responsible for managing customer and State/Province relationships.
Operations Management:
Receive permit requests from customers and process with individual States/Provinces (orders are generated via phone, fax, web)
Validate routing
Validate permit orders for completeness and accuracy
Follow-up with customers and States/Provinces on permit status, issues with permits, etc.
Other projects as assigned
Customer Service/Account Relationship Management:
Meet volume and accuracy goals
Develop and maintain professional working relationships with customers and internal staff
Manage high-level national accounts to meet service level agreements
Convey a strong sense of urgency to drive problems towards resolution
Learn and understand customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent
Excellent attention to detail and data entry skills with proven accuracy
Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills
Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize
Proven ability with tasks and/or projects to follow through to completion
Initiative, information seeking, strong desire to learn and achieve
A sense of urgency with a positive attitude
Preferred:
Minimum of at least one year previous customer service experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
