Job Description
Provide technical support in the areas of maintenance, testing and implementation of database solutions supporting proprietary architecture in a manufacturing environment. Database Planning and Design - Maintains knowledge of business applications and serves as an in-house consultant regarding database architecture.
Provides input to Applications Development for environment standards.
Analyzes and implements tuning functions for application and data base code to ensure efficient execution.
Continuously acquires knowledge of evolving technologies and applies to the business needs/objectives and processes in project related roles.
Database Support - Provides database support for Application Developers, Business Analysts and end users:
Assists in problem solving support to all users of applications and databases
Responsible for proper day-to-day execution of backup and recovery functions for all databases
Responsible for the implementation of database and application upgrades and patching
Executes security processes to access and use applications and databases
Monitors and reports to management on overall database performance and table sizes
Analyzes production and test database problems, determines causes and takes timely, corrective actions
A capable mentor, trainer to others with less database experience (ERD diagrams, database modeling, T-SQL, best practices)
Use industry best-practices to administrate and improve SQL and server environments
Author/create system documentation and administrative procedures
Researches and conducts feasibility studies of evolving technologies, and the impact to business application systems
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
As needed, provides on call (night/weekend) assistance in support of Rosemount's 24x7 computer operations

Job Requirement
Minimum
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
Experience: Eight (8) years of related experience.
Required skills:
8 or more years of MS SQL Server experience, administration and programming
Extensive knowledge of MS SQL Server performance and tuning, backups, patching
Highly experienced in T-SQL development and stored procedures and optimizations
Distributed, multi-site, multi-server administration
Additional desired technical skills:
SSIS experience / data analysis
SharePoint administration
Experienced in programming software in any object oriented language (C#, Java, C++, etc.)
VMware server administration / vSphere
TFS (Microsoft Team Foundation Server administration)
Unix/Linux experience
Redgate or similar SQL Server administration tools / suites
Analysis of data using statistical methods
